About us

Mountainside FM is community based with a strong leaning towards social justice and honesty. We champion worthwhile causes, support charity groups, and offer free notices to non-profit organisations.

Our morning news is quite unique and produced in our studios with humor and hard hitting comment when appropriate. Our social comment programmed (Listeners Corner) has never tried to be anything but brutally honest. Most listeners find Mountainside FM refreshing if not always agreeing with the editorial views. We do not set out to offend, but at times we do.

We are what we are, and make no excuses in playing all the great music enjoyed by those over 60 years of age. Our music is the easy listening from the 50's, 60's, and 70's including a mix of traditional style country.

Mountainside FM first went to air on April 2005. During that time it has become a constant friend and information centre to thousands of listeners. They rely on our honesty and endorsement. They know we do not promote any company or product not up to our expectations.
